Broadcasting
2024-2025
For this segment, I arranged all of the interviews, and when I was not interviewing someone, I was filming. What I loved about this segment was the energy Emerald and I brought to the table. The energy wasn't necessarily returned or seen on camera, but that is something we are continuing to work on.
2023-2024
This was my first news package for the school after MIPA camp. This was the year our segments started sing "stand ups" as it was something I learned at camp and brought back. I also filmed and used B-Roll for the first time and was PNNs first ever sit down interview. the segment wasn't perfect but it was a great start.
MIPA 2023-2024
During my time at MIPA camp as a rising junior, I took a class on broadcasting. There I learned the makings of a news package and how to properly edit. The segments I created there can be found

Lunchroom controversy and Behind the scenes
At camp I learned how to film a stand up, film engaging B-Roll and add in voice layovers. I even had a few conversations with my teacher about how to change up the order of our segments to help the audience feel more engaged.
2022-2023
For this segment, I did the interviewing and planning. Our class was brand new and very small, so we were working with limited staff, knowledge, and resources. At this point the class was called broadcasting but was really just making video announcements. Being part of two MIPA member programs I was dedicated to growing it into more of a broadcast class and have worked twoards that goal all my years on staff.
